Private school fee hike ‘unavoidable’ – Jamaica Independent School’s Association

The comprehensive compensation overhaul for public sector workers implemented by the government continues to have widespread effects across various sectors. The latest consequence is a significant increase in school fees within private education institutions.

In the upcoming school year, students at Reach Academy will be required to pay up to 275 thousand dollars in fees. At Hopefield Preparatory, students will need to budget for approximately 170 thousand dollars, while those attending Immaculate Prep can expect fees of up to 155 thousand dollars. Watch the report:
