Police Commissioner: Murders Down 12%

Despite a recent surge in homicides, the Police Commissioner today unveiled a remarkable achievement: a 13% decrease in major crimes during the third quarter of 2023 compared to the same period last year, while murders down 12%. This news comes amid heightened concerns about rising violence.

Commissioner Major General Antony Anderson also highlighted the intensified determination of the constabulary to combat the issues of firearms, gangs, and gangsters. This renewed commitment follows the sentencing of 15 members belonging to the infamous One Don Gang earlier this week.
