Police: 1 Firearm Seized, 2 Shot in Ackee Walk

Another shooting incident in the vicinity of Ackee Walk, St Andrew, has left residents tense heading into the festive season. The latest fatal shooting of a barber in the St Andrew North Police Division on Sunday, December 12, by men on a motorcycle; Monday’s shooting saw the police seizing one firearm and arresting four people.

Superintendent of Police for the St Andrew North Division Aaron Fletcher says the police were conducting checks in the Ackee Walk community late Monday morning in response to the uptick in criminal activity when they stumbled into men brandishing firearms.
