The National Solid Waste Management Authority (NSWMA) has been conducting a series of clean-up projects since the start of the yuletide season. The latest areas visited, were the streets of Downtown Kingston.
Earlier this week members of the national solid waste management cleaned the streets of Downtown Kingston as a part of its island-wide clean Christmas campaign. Executive Director of the NSWMA Audley Gordon says the possibility of a clean Christmas can be achieved if citizens cooperate and that the initiative is also a way to provide support for all garbage collectors. Gordon says proper containment of garbage is often a challenge during the festive season.
