KSAMC Mayor Condemns Attack On Homeless Individuals

Mayor Delroy Williams condemned attacks on homeless individuals during the Annual New Year Feeding Program in Downtown Kingston. While reports of violence towards the unhoused have decreased, Mayor Williams emphasized the importance of recognizing the humanity of homeless individuals. The Kingston and St. Andrew Municipal Corporation (KSAMC) organized the event, with contributions including clothing items. Youth Public Relations Officer Briana Clarke denounced the abuse of vulnerable groups, and Junior Mayor Kurdane Eccleston encouraged youth to be supportive. The event aimed to spread awareness and kindness, fostering compassion for the homeless.
