In a one-day blitz in Stony Hill, hundreds of new vaxxers came out eager to take their first jab. Councilor for the division, Tosha Scwapp, says she believes the town criers, which were used to engage the residents definitely helped.
The blitz site was hosted at two locations, Oberlin High and Stony Technical High. Both sites were open from 10 am to 3 pm, at the Stony Hill Technical School at just minutes past 12, Schwapp says the site vaccinated over two hundred and fifty (250) residents and are aiming to meet their set four hundred (400) goals.
At the end of the day, Stony Hill Technical High recorded three hundred and eighty-four (384) inoculated persons. Schwapp commented that they saw mixed age group represented at both sites. She says the clinic will continue to administer vaccines to the residents in and around the area.
