The Sav-La-Mar Infirmary Male Ward, which was officially opened on Wednesday, April 26, and will accommodate 50 men at a time, is being hailed for the assistance it will provide for social cases.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the much-anticipated ward, Prime Minister Andrew Holness says adequate services have not been provided for vulnerable groups over the years because of the economy’s state at the time. He however admits more needs to be done for vulnerable groups across the country. The 4800-square-foot infirmary was built at a cost of 53 million dollars and will provide a host of services.
