The Transitioning Employment Status of Security Guards

We explore the transitioning employment status of security guards, following a ruling in the Supreme Court, which declared that security guards who are engaged by a prominent security firm, are employees and not independent contractors and therefore had been deprived of certain benefits. To discuss we are joined by Lieutenant Commander George Overton President of the Jamaica Society for industrial security and St. Patrice Ennis, General Secretary of the union of technical, administrative, and supervisory personnel.
