As we approach Jamaica’s 60th Anniversary of independence and the platinum Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II marking her 70 years as monarch, Jamaica on Tuesday, March 22, welcomed the Duke, Prince Willam, and Duchess of Cambridge, Kate.

With those events however, come the questions of where does Jamaica go from here? Should we remain a constitutional monarchy or even within the commonwealth? And what of the issue of reparations, after all the plantation owners were given remuneration of 20 million pounds or just over 17 billion pounds in today’s money.

In this Panel Discussion, we discuss the issues, plus the call for an apology with Professor Rosalea Hamilton, founding Director Institute of Law and Economics and Recording Artiste Queen Ifrica, member of the Advocates Network.
