The Composition of the Cabinet and the Immediate Task Ahead

The Composition of the Cabinet and the Immediate Task Ahead

Jamaica’s new cabinet is a mixture of experience and youth.

With 19 Ministers and  9 State Ministers, some of the appointments have been supported while others have been criticized heavily. Is it diverse enough? Where are the women? Is it a good balance of youth and experience? Is it too big? And why were some of the member of parliament appointed ministers? Is it a good mix of competence and good character? And what are some of the immediate challenges that confront the administration?

To discuss we are joined by political commentators Helene Davis Whyte and Patrick Bailey.
