Road Rage And Firearm Use

As Jamaica looked on in astonishment at a daylight shootout in the middle of Sam Sharpe Square in Montego Ba,y St James, the scene was made even more incredible when detail emerged that both individuals were licensed, firearm holders. And amidst calls for the licensing authority to increase its granting of licenses-could encounters like that in Montego Bay, become a more common scenario? In this Panel Discussion, we explore the rules of engagement between licensed firearm holders. To engage the issues, we are joined virtually by former Deputy Chairman of the Firearm Licensing Authority Dennis Meadows and with us in studio Criminologist Dr Jason Mckay.
