COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate in the Workplace

As the discussion about COVID-19 vaccine mandate discussion gets louder in Jamaica, a powerful partnership in the private sector says that the national problem of the low vaccination rate requires more far-reaching measures. And are now encouraging and pledging support to the government in selectively using its powers under the Disaster Risk Management Act, (DRMA) to introduce incremental requirements for vaccination. Including implementing vaccination policies for government workers.

Lloyd Distant, President of the Jamaica Chamber of Commerce and Helene Davis Whyte political commentator and General Secretary of the Jamaica Association of Local Government Officers, joined the CVM Live Panel Discussion to look at a potential vaccine mandate in the workplace.
