“Andrew Holness is the carer in chief” that is according to government Senator Aubyn Hill in his State of the Nation Debate in the Senate Friday.
The Senator says the government worked assiduously during the Covid-19 pandemic to create a support system noting the economy was ravaged.
Speaking in the Upper House during his contribution to the State of the Nation Debate government Senator Aubyn Hill sought to highlight the wins by the government during the covid-19 pandemic.
Senator Hill notes the response of the government regarding the economy was efficient.
While alluding to the 5.7 percent increase in the first quarter of the current fiscal year, he noted the government did not raise taxes.
He further adds the government’s performance is evident the lives and livelihoods of citizens are the main priority.
As Chairman of the Infrastructure Committee in the Cabinet, Senator Hill gave an account as to the expenditures since 2020 in relation to infrastructural development.
