Watts And Wonders: The Griffiths’ Solar Saga

Conroy Griffiths, 85, and his 89-year-old wife Daisy, installed over 20 solar panels in hopes of reducing their electricity bill, only to find themselves paying almost six times more. The couple is perplexed by this situation and questions the reasons behind it. Grid Interconnection Manager for the Jamaica Public Service (JPS), Errington Case, suggests that various factors may contribute to the rise in costs, including the use of batteries to store solar energy. The couple awaits findings from JPS to understand the unexpected billing.
