Water Lock Off Impact Across Jamaica

The two-day water lock-off negatively impacted businesses, homes, and institutions, with many having to resort to various methods. To collect the precious commodity. One such was the disabled community, in Cheshire Village, who also had the misfortune of surviving without water for two days.

The situation is now putting a physical strain on the residents, as they are being forced to lift buckets of water, despite their disabilities.

Meanwhile, President of the Jamaica Confederation of Trade Unions, Helene Davis Whyte says the meeting at the Ministry of Labour is targeted at arriving at an agreeable settlement, and they are handling the matter with urgency. More details in this report:
