The Privy Council has ruled that the murder conviction of Vybz Kartel and his codefendants, Shawn Campbell, Kahira Jones and Andre St John be quashed. The case has been sent back to Jamaican authorities to determine the next steps.
Meanwhile, Bert Samuel and Bianca Samuels, lawyers representing Shawn Campbell, react to his conviction being quashed by The Privy Council. The matter is now back in Jamaica’s Court of Appeal for consideration whether or not there should be a retrial. The attorneys say the men will now be seeking bail.
