Two Dead Following Bus Crash in St. Ann

Two people are dead and twenty-five others injured following a collision in St. Ann on Sunday morning. The incident caused delays in traffic flow along the Llandovery main road in the parish. The incident caused a pile-up in traffic for hours along the main road as rescue workers attended to the injured persons.

Our news team spoke with Dennis Morgan, CEO of the St. Ann’s Bay Regional Hospital. He says only two persons died on arrival at the hospital. He notes that 25 others were admitted, four of whom are unstable while three require surgical intervention. Senior Medical Officer, Dr. Tanya Hamilton says the injuries are severe and the hospital’s working swiftly to care for the injured. Investigations are ongoing; however, Superintendent Dwight Powell of the St. Ann police provided an update regarding one of the drivers who has died. More details below:
