The Blue Lagoon to reopen on June 1, 2023 – A revelation made by the National Heritage Trust during a stakeholders’ meeting in Portland recently. The blue lagoon was ordered closed in August 2022 for sanitary and other health concerns that threatened the viability of the national monument.

Come June 1 the blue lagoon in Portland will be reopened. Speaking with CVM LIVE at a meeting Monday with residents, chairman of the National Heritage Trust Orville Hill explains though the lagoon has been given the green light to resume its operations, there are still other issues to be ironed out. Hill also notes that rumors on social media inviting the public to turn out in large numbers are not realistic as space is limited. Watch the report:
