Taxi Operators are demanding justice for the fatal shooting of one of their colleague, by the police on Monday, January 27.

The incident happened while a police team was on duty at the intersection of Bond Street and Spanish Town Road.

Police and soldiers on one side of the street while irate protesters are on the other side.

It was a chaotic scene at the Denham Town Police Station where taxi operators stayed off duty and residents came out in protest of the fatal shooting of 25 year old Shawayne Armstrong.

The police reportedly intercepted a robot taxi and were in the process of charging the driver who initially complied but then an argument ensued.

The details after that are a bit sketchy, however it ended with Armstrong being shot in the chest and about two police officers injured.

Armstrong was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

He is being described as a humble being.
