Staff Accuse Principal of Hiding COVID-19 Case

Doubt and fear have gripped some staff members at one corporate area high school. This after an alleged staff member tested positive for the coronavirus but the school allegedly failed to mention it plays a part in its postponement of face-to-face learning, set for Monday.

Our source who spoke under condition of anonymity told our news centre the school’s principal mentioned to them that a staff member tested positive last Friday. The source along with several staff and students is said to now on 14 days quarantine.

At least one staff member at the school says the explanation that some parents lack is that the plans were affected by the positive result of another staff member since last week.

The source indicates that since the teacher-tested positive for the virus, they were advised to go home and quarantine and were told reports would be made to the related authorities.

When our news centre contacted the school’s principal via phone, she did not pick up. She, however, returned the call, at which time the reason for making contact was outlined. The call was then disconnected. Several calls placed to her cell phone afterward went unanswered. More details in this report:
