Residents of St. Mary are set to benefit from a mini stadium in the Oracabessa area. Member of Parliament for St. Mary Western, Robert Montague says the new stadium will be maintained and protected once it is completed. MP Robert Montague says the parish is set to benefit from a mini stadium, particularly youngsters and vendors from the area.
This announcement was made at the groundbreaking ceremony. The new stadium is expected to cost 22 million dollars. He says this will be the largest sports project in St. Mary. Montague says the mini stadium will not be used for parties, hence a management team.
He asserts that the stadium has to be maintained and protected. Meanwhile, Councillor for the Oracabessa Division, Sheldon Kidd, lauded Montague for this initiative, adding that residents were in dire need of a facility to express their skills.
