The Private Sector Vaccine Initiative, (PSVI) has been supporting the National Vaccine Plan, (NVP) and its goal of reaching 65% fully vaccinated citizens by early next year. The PSVI has been going into companies to create easier access to vaccines in the private sector, and after just 2 months they have recorded over 20, 000 vaccinations.
20, 213 vaccinations have been administered among private sector employees and their dependents. These numbers reflect the most recent tally shared by the Private Sector Vaccine Initiative on Friday, September 25. This milestone was reached after 8 weeks of operating in phase two of its vaccination programme.
Acting as an agent of the Ministry of Health and Wellness, in the National Vaccination Plan, the PSVI has delivered its programme across 8 parishes in sectors such as Business Process Outsourcing companies, (BPO), tourism, manufacturing, finance, and transportation.
PSVI has staged vaccination exercises at more than 34 companies. Their weekly operation at their waterloo center sees over 300 companies of varying sizes having their staff vaccinated. To propel the NVP’s efforts, 11 private medical facilities have also signed a partnership with the Health Ministry, pledging their support.
