Police say they are following trails of active gangs in Gordon Town
The St. Andrew North Police say the return of certain infamous individuals to Gordon Town has been causing an uptick in crime. A double murder took place in the area Tuesday evening. Two other men were also shot.
The police theorize the murders might be gang -related.
In the latest incident which took place minutes past 5 on Tuesday evening, gunmen reportedly came to this food stall along Gordon Town Road, St. Andrew where a group of persons was standing.
The deceased have been identified as 30-year-old Demroy Foster, also known as Demmy, who was the stall operator and 27-year-old Raymond Palmer otherwise called, Ragie, both from the Gordon Town area.
While two of the men narrowly escaped death, up to Tuesday evening, one remained in hospital in critical condition. The police say he received gunshots to his upper body.
