Police Intensify Search for Gunmen Involved in Pump Attendant Murder

Police intensify search for gunmen involved in the murder of 31-year-old pump attendant Chevelle Lewis. She was gunned down by men at the Petcom Service Station in Passage Fort, St Catherine on Tuesday. The victim was caught totally unaware by her killers, as she attended to a customer.

CVM LIVE has obtained exclusive CCTV footage of the gruesome murder of Chevelle Lewis, in the report below. What should have been a regular day on duty, turned out to be the realization of tragedy for friends and relatives of Lewis. As seen in the video, minutes after 4 on Tuesday, lewis was serving petrol to a customer when 2 men on a motorcycle appeared on the lot. They stopped in the middle of the service station, between pumps,

When one man alighted from the motorcycle. He casually walked to the vicinity of the pump attendant, who was serving a customer at the time, while flanked by her colleagues. The gunman then aimed his firearm in the direction of Chevelle, who was hit multiple times. 

The armed men were able to flee the scene. The gunmen were earlier seen at the station, apparently carrying out surveillance before the shooting. The incident has left workers traumatized.

On Wednesday, Commanding Officer for St Catherine South Division, SSP Christopher Phillips, confirmed to CVM LIVE that the murder was in fact the work of hitmen. The victim is from the central village community, where there is said to be an ongoing gang conflict.
