Police and Traffic Authorities Ramp Up Operations in Portland

The Public Safety and Traffic Enforcement Branch (PSTEB) conducted a joint special operation with the Portland police and the Island Traffic and Transport Authorities in Buff Bay and Port Antonio. Friday’s joint operation by PSTEB, the island traffic and transport authorities and the Portland police commenced in buff bay where nearly 50 tickets were issued.

Assistant superintendent of police attached to PSTEB Delon Lewis, says one person was also arrested for offensive weapons. According to Lewis, Operators of Public Passenger Vehicles (PPV’s) contribute significantly to the problem, parking just about anywhere.
