PNP Denounces Former Candidate Charged For Rape

On Tuesday, the People’s National Party, PNP, Women’s Movement, in unity with the PNP’s Gender Spokesperson, Denise Daley, voiced strong condemnation for the actions of their own Councillor Caretaker, Tyrone Guthrie. Guthrie, who holds the position of Councillor Caretaker for the Friendship Division in Westmoreland, is currently facing charges for the alleged rape of a 16-year-old female student.

The PNP underscores their commitment to taking decisive action swiftly, with the primary goal of relieving Guthrie of his duties. They are formally requesting his immediate resignation in light of the serious charges against him. Watch the report:
