Councillor for the Maxfield Division in East Central St Andrew, Dennis Gordon, is to represent the constituency as a Member of Parliament in the next general election. The decision was arrived at on Saturday by delegates of the People’s National Party, PNP.
In a remarkable show of unity and consensus in the People’s National Party, PNP, Councillor Dennis Gordon has officially been nominated as a candidate for Member of Parliament, in East Central St. Andrew. The seat, which has historically been a PNP stronghold, is currently warmed by former Party Leader, Dr Peter Phillips, who has announced his intentions to step down by the next general election.
