The St Catherine police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal crash involving Executive Director of the National Solid Waste Management Authority (NSWMA) Audley Gordon. He is currently under investigation following the death of a pedestrian near Linstead, St Catherine, on Saturday.
The incident is believed to have occurred sometime around 5 pm, in the vicinity of the Linstead leg of the toll.
Efforts to ascertain the identity of the victim proved unsuccessful up to news time. Head of the Police’s Communication arm, CCU, SSP Stephanie Lindsay says Gordon reported to the police after the accident and that he was not under the influence while driving based on the tests and that the incident is being probed for further actions.
Efforts to get a comment from Audley Gordon proved futile.
