NIA Calls For United Front To Fight Corruption

A call to unify Jamaicans against corruption. Issues relating to good governance and the prevalence of corruption in Jamaica were highlighted by the Principal Director of The National Integrity Action, NIA, Professor Trevor  Monroe. He says it will take a united effort to dismantle the continued instances of corruption, noting the many ways Jamaicans suffer as a result. 

He is calling on citizens to hold powerful people accountable, by reporting instances of crime and corruption.  Professor Monroe further demands Members of Parliament across the country play their part in providing citizens with a trustworthy environment that encourages transparency. This as he calls for greater priority to be placed on good governance legislation. The integrity boss was speaking at the NIA’s press briefing on International Anti-Corruption Day.
