A move expected to extend the tourism sector’s reach and exposure in the digital space- the Tourism Product Development Company (TPDCo) on Wednesday launched a free mobile app.
The app dubbed ‘Xplore Jamaica’ will seek to make bookings and travel to the island much easier for tourists. Tourism Minister Edmund Bartlett notes that with the COVID-19 pandemic, access to information has become even more vital.
In a video Message Tourism Minister, Edmund Bartlett lauded the TPDCO for its efforts tapping into the use of the app. He says the steps to visit Jamaica should be even more seamless and enjoyable.
The minister notes that some of the features include a travel cost estimator and a travel guide.
Minister Barlett says elements of the app encourage user engagement and feedback that will prove useful to the tourism sector.
