Negril Chamber of Commerce: “Negril Needs Attention”

The tourism industry steadily rebounds and hoteliers in Negril see strong bookings for the winter tourist season which began on Wednesday, December 15, but there is a renewed call for the government to focus on the town’s development, making it a first-class tourist hot spot, benefiting the local economy.

As tourism players in Negril bank on the winter tourist season to help recoup immense losses suffered due to the pandemic, the Negril Chamber of Commerce President is again highlighting a lack of proper infrastructure to propel the resort town to greater heights.

Wallace who is the owner of the Boardwalk Village Hotel and the boardwalk shopping village also wants a level playing field so smaller operators can benefit from tourist dollars, especially during the high season.
