More Resources Needed for Special Needs Children

Special needs children, though making progress, are still in need of additional resources to navigate learning environments following the Coronavirus, COVID-19 pandemic. 

Today, CVM LIVE spoke with the Director of the Early Simulation Programme (ESP), a programme for young children with developmental disabilities, to hear what those needs entail. Gunter Gayle says the government procured a mobile intervention unit to traverse the island.

The ESP, a project under the Ministry of Labour and Social Security, is the only public special education centre in Jamaica catering to children under 7 years old. Watch the report for more details:
