Mayne: Zero Tolerance for Contraband In Cells

‘Sly efforts to provide inmates with prohibited articles at correctional facilities, will be detected and punished,’ said the Minister of State in the Ministry of National Security Zayvia Mayne. He says trafficking of contraband is now subject to more severe penalties under the Corrections Act.

During a recently held unveiling ceremony of an additional fleet to the Department of Correctional Services (DCS) at the tower street adult correctional centre in Kingston, the Minister spoke on how they are trying to deter the trafficking of illicit items.
