Man Shot and Injured Hours into Hanover Curfew

One man was shot and seriously injured in the Green Island Policing Division on Monday night, just hours after the police announced a curfew in the area.

Reports are that shortly after 8:00 PM, the man was at a section of the community known as Back-a-Diaz when he was ambushed and shot multiple times by armed men.

The police were summoned and upon arrival, the wounded man was rushed to the hospital where he was treated and admitted. Over the recent months, there has been a number of gang violence within the Green Island area and a number of murders since late last year.
