Long Lines and Delayed Services Frustrate Citizens At PICA

There is growing frustration among Jamaicans who complain daily about the long waiting period and what they say, is the lack of organization at the Passport, Immigration and Citizenship Agency, PICA, in carrying out business.

They also complain about crucial services, are no longer offered by the PICA. One of the concerns conveyed is not being able to receive passports on the date provided by the Agency. CVM LIVE understands this to be the case with several people as PICA is no longer offering emergency services. As a result, persons traveling overseas are unable to make any travel arrangements.
