Linvern Wright: Schools Must Be Guided By M.O.H

As the new school term is set to commence in January, one stakeholder in the education sector says though the learning loss is concerning amid entering the third year in the pandemic schools will have to be guided by the Health Ministry.

While schools have been given the green light to resume face-to-face learning in January, there are concerns surrounding the expected fourth wave and the prospects of the omicron variant being in the country.

Speaking with CVM LIVE Monday, President of the Jamaica Association of Principals of Secondary Schools Linvern Wright says schools will have to follow suit under the guidance of the health ministry.

He notes there are even more concerns regarding the learning loss entering a third year of the virus.
