July 30 Observed as World Day Against Human Trafficking

On the heels of World Day Against Human Trafficking in persons, State Minister for National Security Zavia Mayne says Jamaica to date has made strides towards fighting human trafficking. However, he notes the issue is a global one and it takes a collective effort in tackling it. The State Minister also outlined the steps Jamaica has taken in combating human trafficking. Minister Mayne says the government has reviewed amendments regarding penalties for persons who indulge and perpetuate such egregious acts. Watch the report below:
