Police say ongoing investigations into the recent robberies and attack on Beryllium vans collecting money in the Portmore area, have been fruitful. The police say they have reason to believe they were done by the same group of persons. After weeks of ongoing investigations into the two incidents of robbery in Portmore, St. Catherine involving Beryllium vans, police can confirm that the same group of persons is responsible for both heists.
Addressing their findings at the Jamaica Constabulary Force’s virtual town hall meeting, Sunday, Divisional Crime Officer for St. Catherine South Superintendent Rory Martin says the findings were made accurate by information gathered at both scenes. SP Martin says meetings were held with the police, and security operators of the company, particularly those responsible with transporting money. Watch the report:
