With immigration workers back on the job following recent industrial action, General Secretary of the National Worker’s Union, Granville Valentine says meetings are ongoing to resolve concerns stemming from worker’s compensation. Valentine says the Passport, Immigration, and Citizenship Agency (PICA’s) management said they sought clarification from finance about the circulars and they were given a letter to say they were instructed to implement them, but to date, no clarification was given.
The immigration officers took industrial action, Monday to bring awareness to their concerns. They have since resumed work. Watch the report:
