The Gordon Town Health Centre in St. Andrew recently became the 35th facility to be adopted under the Health Ministry’s adopt a clinic programme.

The clinic has been adopted by two United States-based donor organizations. The period for the adoption is four years- 2021 -2025- at a value of 4 million Jamaican dollars.

The Gordon Town Health Centre is a type three facility that sees on average approximately 1-thousand 7 hundred and 50 patients per month. 

These individuals are from Gordon Town and surrounding areas such as Mavis Bank and Content Gap. Through their combined resources, the New Testament temple church of God and Good Neighbours community outreach agency in New York have adopted the health centre for 4 years.

The entities have committed $1 million per year, which will be used to purchase clinical and office equipment and facilitate minor infrastructure upgrades and maintenance of the facility.
