GOV’T Urged To Tighten COVID-19 Restrictions Further

Daily triple-digit increases of Coronavirus, COVID-19 cases, a rising death toll, and now, the inability to trace chains of transmission for a large number of cases. The Ministry of Health and Wellness (MOHW) continues its appeal to the public, to avoid close contact with others, and to leave home only when necessary.

But from all indications, these warnings are having limited impact.

Speaking on CVM LIVE recently, leading Epidemiologists, Professor Peter Figueroa, urges the government to take stronger public health measures, now.

COVID-19 measures have been implemented, however Prof. Figueroa, believes they should be tighter. Prof. Figueroa points out that this phase of transmission may continue up to a year.

In the absence of a vaccine for the deadly virus, public awareness is still the best hope.
