GOJ Reimposes SOPEs In Several Parishes

The Prime Minister on Wednesday morning announced two new States of Public Emergency (SOPEs). This is after the recent expiration of two previous SOPEs in several parishes and divisions, the newest of which is the St. Andrew North Police Division.

Prime Minister Andrew Holness says while there has been a reasonable success in controlling murders up to and during the Christmas season, more needs to be done to stem the prevalence of violence.
