In response to recent concerns raised by the Opposition regarding the Government of Jamaica’s expenditures on the Stocks and Securities Limited (SSL) fraud investigation and assistance in paying SSL staff, the Finance Minister has offered reassurances. He has pledged that, in due course, he will provide the nation with a comprehensive account of the total cost incurred during the probe.
Furthermore, the Finance Minister made it emphatically clear that not a single cent of taxpayers’ money will be utilized for these purposes. He emphasized that the primary focus at this juncture must remain on the pursuit of justice, with the goal of holding all those involved in the multi-million-dollar fraud case accountable for their actions.
