The 2023/2024 budgetary estimates are unmatched in Jamaica’s history as Finance Minister Dr Nigel Clarke proposes a trillion-dollar in Parliament on Tuesday.
While noting this is the first trillion-dollar budget, the Minister says the amount is allocated across the main expenditures. With interest payments this year of 155 billion dollars being fully financed by revenue the government has taken steps to reduce the debt burden to boost development. Watch the report below”
