Prime Minister Andrew Holness may use his March 7 budget debate speech to unveil potential game-changing measures, such as increasing the income tax threshold or adjusting the general consumption tax rate. If implemented, this plan could inevitably postpone the local government elections. While the opposition People’s National Party (PNP) may not heavily resist a brief delay, PNP General Secretary Dr. Dayton Campbell asserts that the party’s position remains unchanged.
