A major narcotics operation conducted on Wednesday night in Bogue Village and Westgate Hills in St. James and Charlemount Avenue in St. Andrew, led to five major players in the drug trafficking trade being taken into custody.

Among those detained, two persons for extradition to the United States and one from the police force. The multi-agency operation involved the Jamaica Constabulary Force, (JCF) Narcotics Division, the US Drug Enforcement Administration, and the United States Marshall, Civil-military Cooperation and Media Affairs Officer, Major Basil Jarrett says the operation led to the seizure of cash, laptops, and luxury vehicles.
