There has been much conversation surrounding teenage pregnancy and what can be done to reduce Jamaica’s numbers. Calls to adjust the age of consent from 16 to 18 have been made, however, Development Economist Dr. Chris Stokes says it will take the reconstruction of societal norms to fix this issue. He is also urging the government to assess the source of the problem to find a more feasible solution.
