Deeper-lying Reasons for Wariness Towards NIDS

With NIDS enrollment targeted to begin in September, questions still linger regarding potential privacy and security issues. Recent data breaches at private institutions add another layer of skepticism surrounding the ability to keep valuable data out of the possession of cybercriminals. But are there deeper-lying reasons leading people to be wary of NIDS?
