The Education Ministry is seeking to both introduce and reinforce a number of protocols and programmes in the nation’s schools in an attempt to dissuade vulnerable youth from engaging in violent conflict.
Minister Williams says the “just medz it” campaign is slated to make a major impact on the nation’s children. According to the Minister, many students are from volatile communities and have been exposed to criminality. She says they often feel unsafe and are compelled to take weapons to school to protect themselves. Watch the report:
