21-Year-Old Rose Town Resource Centre Destroyed

On the face of it, this shipping container in Rose Town, St. Andrew, looks quite normal. But inside, there is significant damage which will no doubt take a toll on the community’s development.

The Michael Black Resource Centre was on Monday morning devastated by fire. A  non-functioning fan left plugged in is suspected to have been the cause.

The President of the Rose Town Benevolent Society tells CVM Live many students depended on the centre to advance their studies.

This resident, Hyacinth Harris is joining the appeal for assistance in restoring the centre in the crime-plagued community.

The resource centre also housed the Rose Town Benevolent Society.
